Barbara Ballachey

I continue to be drawn to the landscape as a primary source for my imagery.   The process of looking, being intrigued, sketching and remembering, and then painting in the studio, is my delight, and leads to new understandings of both the realities I see every day, and of how I (we) experience them.   When the paintings become succinct enough to overcome the detail (of the subject), then they may convey this magic.
